10 Great Side Hustles on Fiverr

Updated: Jan 15, 2022

If you are looking for gig work, fiverr is a great place to start. There are side hustles for everyone who is looking to make some extra money or turn a skill into a career. But, before you choose a field, first check out the competition. Look at how they are wording their ads. Check out their reviews. Look over the portfolios and see what credentials or experience they have. Then use this information to set up your own gig work ad. Use a site like Canva to make a professional-looking promotion, go to your fiverr home page, click on selling and then on gigs.

Blogger

There is a lot of money to be made in blog writing on fiverr and you can write from anywhere in the world if you can write high-quality content on just about anything. Having effective research skills and ability to turn a job around quickly are pluses. Pay ranges on type of work but you can probably figure on $15 an hour to start.

Designing eBook Covers

You don’t have to be a professional graphic designer. You will let the customers know that you are not a professional and that is why you won’t be charging them thousands of dollars for one design. The neat thing is that you can go into Canva.com and find a heading for e-book covers. There are a variety to choose from and they are already formatted for you. This is a really easy way to make $10 to $20. You can even expand into social media covers and banners.

Message Delivery Service

Yes, fiverr offers message delivery gigs. You can do short videos, Canva clips. It can be anything like you holding a board with a message on it or you could even write something on a beach during sunrise/sunset. You could offer personal delivery within a specific area or you could offer an email, Instagram or Twitter campaign for those that couldn't make it to a Gender Reveal Party. There are so many possibilities here; you just need to get creative.

Beta Reading

Non-professionals are paid to look over someone’s piece of writing or a book and give their honest opinion on it before it is published officially. The whole point of being a beta reader is that you are not a professional and you did not work for a publishing company. You are just someone who is willing to give your opinion on whatever this person has written before they post it or publish it. This is a very valuable service that people are willing to pay you for. You can start at a level 1 or level 2 and can charge around $15 an hour. If you are a fiverr pro, you can expect to earn a lot more.

Playing Games

This has got to be one of the weirder but very profitable gigs on fiverr. And yes, people are actually offering their services to teach and coach gaming, test games and record gaming action and are making money at it. If you want to know a little more about how to make money on fiverr by gaming, check out DadDude at:

Proofreading

This is the process of reading an article and marking or correcting any errors you find in syntax, spelling and punctuation. A good proofreader should be able to offer editing and rewriting when possible. Fiverr offers level 1 and level 2 proofreading services. Pay starts around $15 per hour for a level 1 and more experienced level 2 proofreaders can ask more.

Virtual Administrative Assistant

There are so many people coming online that need administrative help. If you have skills like web design, social media management, can write copy or have other office skills this might be your gig. You can also open up a fiverr business account where you manage an agency inside fiverr. Pay starts around $15 per hour.

Website Testing or App User Testing

Another gig job that requires little or no skill or experience on fiverr. You will be observed while you experience a new website or app. This means that you will be either on your laptop or your phone and you will screenshot yourself going through the app. This is really helpful to the developers because they see what buttons you click on vs the buttons you don’t choose. This helps them make the app as user friendly as possible because if the app isn’t very useable, people will just X out of it and not go back to it. User testing is so important for startups and app teams and you don’t need to be an expert at all. They are looking for common sense and how you use the app. You can charge around $10 to $30. Transcribing

There is a large demand for transcribed podcasts and this enables podcasters to turn their messages into blog posts, Youtube scripts and a plethora of other ways that they can repurpose their message. So if you are willing to listen to a 45-minute podcast and type it up for them, you will find people who are more than happy to pay you for it. The pay ranges from $5.00 for 20-minutes on up, and you can increase your rate as you gain experience and 5-star reviews. It is okay to use AI software to produce the text, but make sure you go in and edit out any mistakes before you deliver the product to your client.

Shout Outs

This is a great way to monetize your social media and take advantage of your following. You help clients get noticed by helping them get in front of your followers. You can get paid to do shout outs on Twitter, Instagram, TicToc and Linkedin. The larger your following, the more you can get paid.
